Punjabi Rapper Deep Cold sadly passes away
SimplyBhangra.com is saddened to report the passing of Punjabi rapper Deep Cold, who passed away in India on 5th March 2014.
Deep Cold was a Punjabi rapper who hailed from Houston, Texas. Having been on the scene for a number of years, Deep Cold came to major attention in 2010 when his popular underground hit 'Dekhlo Punjabi Munday' was the lead single for the hit Punjabi movie 'Mel Karade Rabba'
More recently Deep Cold was known for his collaborations with DJ Sanj on the singles 'Sadi Shaan' and the smash hit single 'Mukhada' alongside Jay Status.
Deep Cold had also worked with David Banner, Too Short, Slim Thug, Big Moe, Lil KeKe, Billy Cook, C-Note (Botany Boyz), S.U.C. - Screwed Up Click, Master Saleem, Sonu Niggam, The Teflon Don, Sonny Brown, DJ Sanj/J-Nas, Diljit Singh, Jas Rai, Kamla Punjabi, Haji Springer and more.
Deep Cold was spending time in Mumbai & Chandigarh collaborating with a number of big names in Bollywood & Punjabi music industry. His sudden death has come at a time when Deep Cold was set to really rise to prominence. His view on the style of his music, "I don't have a specific style of music that can be categorized. I make music that transcends hate, barriers and race. That's what music is intended to be."
Deep Cold was a founding member of IMM alongside Teflon Don. The group just released their debut album alongside Universal Music India
