Two Asian Download Chart Number Ones in 2014 has put Northern Lights firmly back on the map as one of UK's biggest Asian music Producers.
The first, "Mr & Mrs" which featured Banger, showcased his signature desi sound. The second, "Akhiyan Udeek Diyan" featured newcomer Avneet and Nesdi Jones and showcased a completely different side of his production capability.
In addition to this, he also delivered the official remix of Mehi's "Pyar Diyan Gallan" which had a Summer Lovers Rock Reggae feel and was given huge support by the BBC Asian Network, who also playlisted it on their A List.
This consistency hasn't only been seen in the UK, as Northern Lights has recently been in the Punjab and Mumbai to lay down the foundations of forthcoming Album projects for some of the biggest vocal talents from India.
The first showcase is this beautiful track "Mera Dil Vanjara" which is the first single from the forthcoming Peji Shahkoti album. Peji is the son of Puran Shahkoti, Ustad to Hans Raj Hans and Sardool Sikander. He is also the younger brother of the world famous Master Saleem.
Northern Lights and Peji are no strangers, having previously worked together on Northern Lights' single "Karle Pasand" which was one of the biggest dance floor tracks of 2011.
"Mera Dil Vanjara" showcases Northern Lights versatility yet again, as he goes back to the Arabic feel of his first ever track "Janaab" which released in 2006 and earned him a Best NRI Music Producer at the PTC Alpha Punjabi Music Awards in 2008.
"This is probably my biggest song released to date" was the response when we asked Northern Lights about the release, "but not the biggest on the Album" he laughed, as if to ensure we knew there was still loads more to come.
"Mera Dil Vanjara" also features the lovely voice of Avneet, who was introduced by Northern Lights on his last single. It also features another new talent called "Genuine Soundz" who is a very talented rapper based in Canada.
The three voices are carefully fused by the stunning music delivered by Northern Lights which is set to become a worldwide Anthem.
