Sonnyji's new fortnightly online radio show 'East Beatz West' will be syndicated to five UK Asian radio stations as of Saturday 25th May.

Two of these radio networks are regional namely Newcastle's 'Spice FM' and Glasgow's 'Awaz FM' while the other three are online such as Birmingham's youth station 'Dance Asia FM' and London's very own 'Luv Asia Radio' & 'Hot Asia Jamz'.

Sonnyji is a former BBC Asian Network DJ and presenter of 'The Bhangra Mixtape' show which was taken off air in October 2012 as part of the networks schedule change. But just a month after it ended he kick started a brand new podcast titled 'East Beatz West'. The new music show which is produced and presented by Sonnyji himself has been going out fortnightly since it's launch in late November 2012 to much excitement by his fans in the UK & Worldwide.

Says Sonnyji "The original show I used to do on the BBC Asian Network was effectively a 2 hour mix show with me presenting over the music played. I've continued that in my new broadcast with just a few minor updates to the sound. My years of experience as a broadcaster on the BBC has helped me put it all together and for that I'm thankful. I've been having a lot of fun creating this new show and to be honest the whole process has done a great job in strengthening my love for radio even further. This move to work with regional and online networks in the UK is not only to continue the progressive sound I have built over the years but to give new and more abstract sounding artists I play more exposure to a bigger audience".

Continuing to pioneer the multi genre mix style Sonnyji created on his BBC show 6 years ago the new East Beatz West mixcasts are a bolder, more experimental mix of Asian and non Asian sounds colliding together into one colourful, and very big musical journey from a British DJ who has immersed himself musically to what is around him. Taking in the heavily percussive roar of UK Bhangra, the frenetic carnival vibe of new Bollywood and mixing it all up with US Hip Hop, UK Urban, London & American Bass music with a nod heavily to Ibiza House this show not only makes you wanna move but challenges the ears at the same time.

All the radio partners that Sonnyji has been talking to are passionate about change and bringing in something fresh and challenging for their listeners. And with the first five stations as very much the starting point, Sonnyji is aiming to syndicate with more networks across the UK.

Sonnyji presents East Beatz West starts to air from Saturday 25th May 2013 on Spice FM, Dance Asia FM & Hot Asia Jamz then playing out Sunday 26th May on Awaz FM with then the same show featuring on Luv Radio the following Friday 31st May.

All the above networks will be available online or via the tunein application which allows playback on smartphones and the internet in the UK & worldwide. The shows will then be available online 2 days after each broadcast on Sonnyji's Mixcloud page.
