Gurdas Maan is one of the legends and pioneers of the Punjabi music industry and and is this months SimplyBhangra.com Punjabi Artist of the Month.

Gurdas Maan is one of the most popular artists of all time and even at the age of 60 is better than ever before. Not only is a singer but he also writes much of his music, choreographs the videos and also is one of the most popular Pollywood movie actors.

The most memorable film would have to be 'Waris Shah' where he played the role of the legendary poet, and played it better than anyone else could have. Although, Gurdas Maan hasnt been very active with the releases as of late he is still touring the world on a yearly basis and his stage presence is like no other. He still has the ability to rock stages, dance for 3 straight hours and let his powerful voice be heard in stadiums and arenas all around the world.

Gurdas' in 2015 released a remake of his popular track 'Ki Banu Duniya Da' and had the most popular artist in Punjabi music today; Diljit Dosanjh feature on it. Many fans called this track a passing of the torch from Gurdas to Diljit, regardless it will be a memorable track for a very long time.

He has just the announced that his new album 'Punjab' will be releasing on February 9th.
