The sad news of the death of one of the most iconic figures in Punjabi culture broke earlier today, that 'Kaliyan Da Badshah' Kuldeep Manak had sadly passed away in Punjab.

Legendary Punjabi folk singer Kuldeep Manak, who was born Latif Mohammed on 15th November 1951 in the village of Jalal in the Bhatinda district, sadly passed away on Wednesday(30.11.11) after a prolonged illness. The last rites will be performed at his birthplace and native village Jalal in Bathinda on Friday.
