GV’s ‘From The Ground Up’ Breaks Records

Having successfully released his debut album ‘From the Ground Up’ on December 22^nd, UK Born writer, composer & producer GV became the first ever Bhangra artist to achieve simultaneous chart topping success.

The debut 8 track album ‘From The Ground Up’ stormed to No.1 spot on the iTunes Album Chart within an incredible two hours of release. Alongside the Number 1 placed album, the lead single from the album ‘Putt Jatt Da’ featuring the vocals of Jaz Dhami reached the pinnacle of the iTunes singles chart, giving GV an unprecedented first.

Talking about his recent record breaking feat, producer GV stated;

“The amazing response to my debut album was completely unexpected. I never set out to make a number 1 album, or a number 1 single. I just wanted to make a good bhangra album that the masses could enjoy.
I spent countless hours making the beats, writing, composing, recording the vocalists, and so on. I'm really happy that bhangra lovers around the world are embracing my sound.
