Kintaro Launches Music Album in India!!
If she is ready to enter Bollywood with movie ‘Kites’, Barbara Mori ’s talented brother Kintaro will soon launch a music album in India.
And guess who’s helping him carve a singing career? It’s our hero Hrithik Roshan , a close friend to his Kites’s co-star, Barbara. It’s learnt that during his stay in Mumbai, Kintaro made Hrithik hear some of his compositions, and the actor was so overwhelmed with his music sense that he suggested Kintaro to slash a music album in India.
Hrithik introduced Kintaro to T-series owner Bhushan Kumar to get a deal fixed. And now the musician brother of Barbara is learning Hindi as the album will feature both Hindi and English songs.
Bhushan Kumar has confirmed the news that they have plans to record an album with Kintaro, and music director Vishal-Shekhar will work with him for the album. Reportedly it was Hrithik again who asked the composer duo to come up with tunes for Kintaro’s album.
And Shekhar, from the Vishal-Shekhar duo has admitted that they have started working with Kintaro Mori. Barbara has two siblings – Kenya Mori, who is an actress, and Kintaro Mori, who is now trying to begin a music career in India.
Slumdog Millionaire Real Life Love Story!!
Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto has come out and spoken for the first time about her closeness with co-star Dev Patel saying it has become stronger. A website reports that the two were seen getting intimate in Israel and were also spotted shopping for a ring here after the movie was released. The 24-year-old actress has called 19-year-old Patel a “lovely boy”.
“The friendship blossomed after the film, it got even stronger. This is all new to us,” she included.
Sunny Deol looking for a hit!!
It has been two years since Sunny Deol was last seen on the big screen in a sensible role. The film was ‘Apne’ (2007) which was a box office success. Since then he has been seen in supporting roles in ‘Kaafila’ (2007) and ‘Heroes’ (2008) but hasn’t been able to recapture his lost glory. Now he would be making a comeback with ‘Fox’, the shooting of which finally wrapped up a fortnight back and is now aiming for release before year-end.
Director Deepak Tijori is overjoyed that his multi starrer finally gets into the post production.
Well, Sunny fans would certainly be wishing that this indeed happens as they have been starved of a movie starring him in a major role for quite a while now. Prior to ‘Apne’ (which also starred Dharmendra and Bobby Deol), his last major money-spinner was ‘The Hero’ (2003). Ever since then he has acted in quite a few movies in a solo lead but none of them has been able to make an impact.
Whether it is ‘Fool N Final’, ‘Big Brother’, ‘Naksha’, ‘Teesri Aankh - The Hidden Camera’, ‘Jo Bole So Nihaal’, ‘Lakeer’, ‘Khel’ or ‘Jaal - The Trap’, all of which released between ‘Apne’ and ‘The Hero’, each of them has been a displeasure for both Sunny Deol and his fans. Now one waits, watches and hopes that with Deepak Tijori directed ‘The Fox’, Sunny Deol finally makes a praiseworthy comeback at the box office and wins his fans all over again.
‘Fox’ is a modern sleek thriller shot in the exotic locales of Goa and Mumbai. It is a story about a cat and mouse chase between a young successful criminal lawyer (Arjun Rampal) and a mysterious stranger who is controlling and threatening his life. Now the lawyer must seek the help of a reluctant cop (Sunny Deol) in solving the mystery.
Farhan Akhtar in his own World!!
He is known to be outgoing and easily accessible, but Farhan Akhtar has suddenly gone into a shell. The reason is his latest acting project “Kartik Calling Kartik” - a film on a man lost in his own world.
“It was the nature of the character I was playing. He’s a guy lost in his world. So I was making an effort to isolate myself,” Farhan, who has teamed up with Deepika in the movie, told to a close source.
“Lately I’ve just been switching off from the world for the sake of my character. If you want to call it method acting, so be it,” told Farhan who switched off his phone and became almost inaccessible to the world outside.
Farhan, who made his acting debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s “Rock On!”, won’t be cast in the director’s second movie. But he is not complaining.
Farhan also prepares to shoot “Don 2?. While his father Javed Akhtar had scripted part one - “Don - The Chase Begins Again”, the sequel has a different team of writers, including Farhan.
“The first movie was my father’s vision. He had written the original ‘Don’ featuring Amitabh Bachchan. But ‘Don 2' is being written by fans only. Two new enthusiastic boys, Ameet and Amreesh, came to me with their ideas on how the story can be carried forward. I’ve thrown my ideas at them. ‘Don 2' is basically being written by three ‘Don’ fans who are having a ball carrying the story forward,” he told.
About the elimination of his father, Farhan clarifies: “He cannot be a fan of ‘Don’ because he conceived it.”
Though he is excited about “Don 2?, Farhan has his heart set on his pet directorial venture, “Voice From The Sky”, which got stalled by casting setbacks.
“It’s weird. No matter who it is, and no matter how big or small the director, every one of us is facing casting problems. Finding the right actors has become a major problem. ‘Voice From The Sky’ did get delayed because I couldn’t find the right actor. But I know I’ll come back to it. And one day when you see it, you’ll realise why I had to make this movie.”
