The107 - Mele Vich (Out Now)
After the success of their popular cover ‘Happy Vs Mahi Ve Mahi’, the newest signing to the Beatcircle record label, The107 release their eagerly anticipated debut single ‘Mele Vich’ on 27th February 2014.
With a musical identity that is inspired by artists ranging from Marvin Gaye and Justin Timberlake through to Tru Skool and Panjabi MC, The107 sound is diverse and refreshing. The band bring forth a strong live music feel as each member is a talented multi-instrumentalist; insisting on playing the instruments on their records as well as writing and producing all of their material The cover video saw the band- Gopi, Sunny and Suraj- showcasing their skills as live musicians and giving music fans the experience of a one-off blend of two great songs. Theresponse has been fantastic, with over 13,000 views since release and lots of radio airplay from leading radio stations such as the BBC Asian Network, as well as online support from industry websites and blogs.
The debut single ‘Mele Vich’ follows on from that success, continuing the idiosyncratic RnB tones with smooth Panjabi vocals, and produces an original and unique song straight from the heart. This ballad encompasses themes that everybody can relate to, like falling in love and the feeling that creates. Blendthis with silky vocals, sweet guitars, and sultry keys, and you get the distinctive 107 sound.
D-Boy, Renowned producer and owner of BeatCircle, explains how an initial demo led him to sign this talented group: “I heard an early recording of ‘Mele Vich’ and found that it was a totally fresh sound, and what makes even more sense is that they are genuinely all about the music.
