Dalvir – Nach Mitran De Naal (Out Now)
"Nach Mitran De Naal", the debut single from Dalvir comes from the album ‘Sunakhi’ due to be released later in the Summer. The single, which has been produced by Punjab-based production duo Anu and Manu (of "Seeti Marke" & "Chite Suit Te" fame), is what the dance floor needs after the Slow Jams of Spring.
The single has been tried and tested by some of the biggest names on the DJ circuit and appreciated for the fast-paced Bhangra beat and energetic vocals. ‘Nach Mitran De Naal’ is sung solely by Dalvir and will bring Underground UK Bhangra back to the forefront of British-Asian music.
Dalvir was born in the village of Rurkee, Jalandhar, Punjab, and at the age of eight he was singing on stage whenever given the chance. With a keen interest in music, Dalvir took Bhangra dance lessons from 1991 and performed at thousands of shows in the Punjab. With a dance troupe and dhol band, entertaining with precise dance routines at every party, Dalvir took on every wedding and festival that was handed to him.
After every show, he would casually sing boliyan; it was here that he realized his true potential as a Punjabi singer. Dalvir graduated at Phagwara University, Punjab, in 1996 and moved to England in late '97. Within a year he had joined forces with one of the most renowned Bhangra dance groups in the UK, Nachda Sansaar .
Dalvir began developing his vocals and gradually became the official Nachda Sansaar group singer. Since then he has danced and sung at over 3000 shows all over the UK.
“The Bhangra music industry is a very hard industry to get in to. My experience in the UK with Nachda Sansaar has been the perfect platform, and it is my inner strength and passion for singing and writing which has lead me to embark on a musical journey on my own, for myself. After all, I am the artist and if I do not showcase the full range of my skills for my own debut album, I would be cheating myself; there may be one or two duets on the album, I will be keeping the vocalists’ names quiet for the moment, but I want people to see what I can do, solo” -- Dalvir
With highly positive responses from his many audiences as a live vocalist, Dalvir began working on his own ambitions to fully realize his potential as a successful Punjabi artist. Dalvir has drawn on his experiences live on stage and the people with whom he has worked with to write and record his debut album, "Sunakhi.
Bhangra Deejay & journalist Boy Chana has marked Dalvir to be the new talent to keep an eye on for 2011 and is supporting him every step of the way.
“Dalvir approached me not too long ago for a little advice about the music industry. When I heard the song, I was absolutely blown away; it has had the dance floor heaving with its infectious beat and simple yet effective lyrics.
Everyone who has heard it just can’t stop singing it. The melody will get into your head and never leave.” -- Boy Chana
