Early on DJ Impact showed great passion for bhangra and hip hop music and competed in the first ever desi dj spin off at the North American Punjabi Convention in Detroit early 2003, taking home first place as the national Punjabi conference mixing champion.

Soon after DJ Impact took home a second victory as the bhangra blowout 10 national spin off winner in washington D.C. Rockin' the crowd and keeping the crowds hands in the air is the main focus when DBI takes over the DJ booth.
