Karen David is set to hit the small screen early next year in the highly successful BBC TV drama ‘Waterloo Road’. Singer, songwriter and actress Karen, who was last seen in the No 1 US box Office hit ‘Couple’s Retreat’, joins an all star cast in the prime time series, which currently airs every Wednesday at 8pm. The drama series centers around a troubled comprehensive school focusing on its teachers and students, confronting gritty social issues. Karen started filming in early November. She will play the lead role of Francesca Montoya, the school’s new young Spanish teacher. On Karen’s days off from filming she has been busy in the studio writing with the Metrophonic production team, whose CV boasts 5 cuts on the current number 1 album from JLS, as well as having written and produced classics such as “Hero” for Enrique Iglesias and “Believe” for Cher.
