Kareena and Saif  - Ready, Set,  Go…to kiss on screen?

Saif Ali Khan is all set to indulge in some passionate romance with real life girlfriend Kareena Kapoor in Rensil D’Silva’s upcoming film.

However the idea of doing an intimate scene with Bebo made Saif uncomfortable and left him feeling conscious all the time while filming it.

Saif tells, “It was obviously easier to do the intimate scenes with Kareena as my co-star and it would be the easiest thing for me to say otherwise, but I’ll admit, having Kareena as my co-star on the sets actually made me feel more responsible, and so more conscious. I did not want to show off our relationship by accentuating the intimacy aspect. It was quite a double-edged sword there! Of, course, at the end of the day we’re all actors, but this was certainly different.”

“It’s a love story with a passionate and relevantly disturbing theme. And I have kissing scenes with Kareena because Rensil is making a real contemporary movie here. We just can’t have two flowers touching each other to show intimacy. At the same, we have taken care that there isn’t anything that will make us squirm while watching the film with our parents. We’ve done the scenes tastefully and within our limits.”

“Rann” a new film to peep in the industry!

The movie, directed by top filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, is touted as a behind-the-scenes look at how news channels greedy for ratings are being manipulated into sensationalizing stories to grab eyeballs.

“What will the media do if torn between commerce on one hand and conscience on the other — that is the premise of this movie,” lead actor Amitabh Bachchan said at a press conference on Wednesday.

Bachchan, arguably
India’s biggest superstar, plays the head of a prominent news channel in “Rann”. Other channel bigwigs, an honest reporter, an dishonest industrialist and a power-hungry politician complete the cast.

With more than 60 English and regional-language news channels in India beaming into TV-owning homes, the film comes at a time when broadcasters are scrambling to provide exclusive content.

Indian television channels were criticized by security agencies for showing live pictures of November’s Mumbai attacks and allegedly giving away important information to attackers trapped inside hotels and a Jewish centre.

“In order to be able to hold a person’s attention, the only way they can do it is to create high drama,” said director Varma.

Katrina changes seven dresses for a music video!

Katrina Kaif is one megastar who is very particular about her costume. She recently put her foot down and told that she needed seven changes of clothes for a music video in Yash Raj Films' New York. The incident in question happened at Yash Raj Studios, Andheri.

The story goes like this. In the beginning, Aditya Chopra and choreographer Ahmed Khan had decided on three costume changes for Katrina. But keeping in mind her glamorous image, Katrina asked for four more.

When Ahmed reached the sets, he was completely shocked. Katrina told him that three changes wouldn’t be enough. Ahmed did not agree with Katrina’s demand. Moreover, he knew that he would have to inform Aditya Chopra before giving in to Katrina’s wish. However, when Katrina respectfully told Ahmed that she would have it no other way he had no choice but to call Aditya who was busy in his office upstairs.

Shahid and Kareena to star together in “Milenge Milenge”

It’s an all-out war to make Shahid-Kareena’s last film together (at least for a while) a worthy farewell.

Boney Kapoor who has three films including Wanted (featuring Salman Khan) and It’s My Life (with Hurman Baweja in his comeback role) ready for release is at the moment focusing totally on giving Milenge Milenge a 2009 look.

And for this purpose the Milenge Milenge crew recently slipped into
Delhi to re-shoot portions of the film that might have got dated.

Says the film’s director Satish Kaushik, “Yes,we have re-shot portions of Milenge Milenge in
Delhi. The entire film is set in Delhi, just like my other hit film Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai with Kareena. In fact I was supposed to do another film with Kareena(Dil Chor with Abhishek Bachchan) for Boney. Instead we did Milenge Milenge.”

Interestingly it was Kareena who suggested Shahid for the role. But her personal relationship never interfered with the project.

Satish explains, “ Both Kareena and Shahid have been complete professionals. If Milenge Milenge has taken so long to be completed it’s not because of the artistes. Everything from my personal family problems to Tsunami happened to Milenge Milenge. One schedule in
Bangkok got cancelled at the last minute. Tsunami stuck and everyone got washed away in the tides where we were supposed to shoot. If the film could survive Tsunami, what’s a bit of negativity about a delayed project? Pakeezah and Mughal-e-Azam were in the making for decades.”

Another Tsunami hit Milenge Milenge when Salman Khan who was supposed to make a special appearance opted out because he discovered he couldn’t get along with Shahid Kapoor.

Far from putting the project on the back burner producer Boney Kapoor and director Satish Kaushik are more determined than ever before to release Milenge Milenge which is their version of Peter Chelsom’s 2001 rom-com Serendipity this summer.

The Shahid Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor starrer is about two people involved elsewhere who after a chance encounter decide to give their feeling for one another a chance to grow.
