- ALBUM HAS NOW BEEN RELEASED -
From the label who gave us the albums Bhangra Muffin and Dhol Blasters - Saint Records UK were LOUD and PROUD. Now they are back in the pack to release a fusion of Punjabi beats for the UK desi music scene..........But! With a brand new Vocalist............Cheena.
Cheena is the young vocalist and his velvet toned talents were head hunted by Saint Records boss Mick St Clair whilst scouting for talent during production of Saint Records last album, Loud and Proud. The Playa - is a 10 track album which has been produced by the legendary Mick St Clair and Resham Salhan from Birmingham. The music was arranged by up and coming production team of Jassi Brothers who look to the UK for inspiration and the fusion of the two teams has created an album which will be crossing the Borders, appealing to both the desi beats heads and the fresh Punjabi beats heads. Cheena is also unique in that he has also written songs on the album himself, so he is aware of what a singer should portray in a song and true singer from Punjab wanting to create a path into the UK.
"We have over the past five years been bombarded by the monotonous vocals of artists who are not developed by record companies, but have jumped from one to another to make a quick buck!” Saint Records, believe new artists should be given the chance to develop into established acts and that is why Saint Records have given Cheena the chance to release this 10 track debut album."
Cheena will be touring the UK later this year alongside the deejay talents of the MSC Crew.

Mick st Clair - History
Mick st Clair is a stalwart of the Bhangra industry and started life as a deejay for small scale events in his home town of West Bromwich and Birmingham. He soon became the first Asian deejay to boast an impressive sound system and became a favorite for weddings and social events all over the U.K. Mick was first to take tracks from the OSA catalogue featuring the powerful vocals of the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and remix them for the dance clubs in the 90's. Mick St Clair has performed at all the major venues for club nights across the UK; Mick St Clair currently commands a training school for wannabee deejays and his current crop of DJ Resh and DJ Bobby have taken steps further to market the music under the MSC Entertainments banner.
