“Khooni Akhiyan” is unique in that it blends a very bluesy feel with an unquestionable Sufi aura - two worlds of music that rarely cross paths, hence making it an exceptional marriage of both worlds.

The Professional Brothers released their first album Romeo in 1996 and subsequently brought you the blockbuster series Romeo & Majnu, Jagga, Ranjha ft. Atta Ullah Khan. Their record label Hi-Tech Music has over the years has boasted a vast catalog of international artists, which comprises over 35 albums of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. It has been three years since the release of The Professional Brothers, Majnu 3, but rest assure between now and then they certainly have been working on bringing the best to their listeners. Hence The Professional Brothers are very proud of their new album “Khooni Akhiyan” in collaboration with the worldwide renown vocal talent Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

In 1997 Rahat Fateh Ali Khan joined Hi-Tech Music and released his debut album “Cry For You” and since Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has released many super hit albums with them and worked on many projects including the track 'Sajna Tera Bina' in The Professional Brothers smash hit album ‘Jagga‘,

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, the nephew of the late legend Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, is known for his Qawwalies and Sufism music and he has contributed his music talent to many ghazals and songs for dramas and Pakistani films. His vocals have featured in Hollywood movies and today is one of the most leading and popular playback singers in the Bollywood film Industry.

This unique album features never before released tracks of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan such as ‘Charkha Yaadan Da’ arguably the most soulful song of the album, starts with a dynamic union of piano and dholaks met by Rahats powerful voice. This song is well-composed and flows without a flaw and is arranged without sacrificing any pop sensibilities for its melodic prowess.

The album’s fourth track, ‘Pyar Karan Diyan’, appears to draw influences from Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's magical voice, and The Professional Brothers unique collation brings it all together perfectly making it a very rewarding listen.

atmospherics and sequence of tracks entice the listener into the atmosphere where there are occasional passages of head-nodding atmospherics, when the synths meander slowly through the spaces between the beats. The fifth track on this album ' Ishq Khuda Hai' executes the atmosphere perfectly, and when the distant, lovelorn vocals drift across the track, the words go a long way in illustrating love’s complexity and vastness.....

The Professional Brothers are known for creating both timeless and new, innovative sounds and this album is a prime reflection of their vast musical taste, the tactful placement of each track and the melodic tensions built in The Professional Brothers compositional finesse, as well as lyrical content of this album is an eclectic display of different styles fused together to make a unique union.

The Professional Brothers would like to thank all their listeners and fans for all their support over the years, without which they would not be where they are, and are pleased to announce their forthcoming album "Ranjha 2 ft: the legend Atta Ullah Khan" which will be releasing in the near future.
