This album is pretty good music wise
Great compositions and tunes on tracks like Jatt Boliyan and Ik Teri Yaad
But overall the album isn't big
Word is born and Repazent were game changers
This album isn't anywhere good as Tru skool's previous work
Looking forward to Jk's album
And btw the track "Mittran Ne Peeni" has Kaos written all over it
Disappointed by the same Eazy E and NY hip hop samples he's using
Would be better to hear every song on the pure folk vibe like Jatt Boliyan was rather than hearing the recycled Gidhian Di Rani dholki with distorted drums

With all the positive comments from the users, i guess it is a clean production. I personally dint like it. Nothing against Tru Skool, i am a big fan of his music but this album did not made me push the repeat button on my player. cheers.

Tru-Skool himself said this album wasnt for everyone. Hip-Hop heads and hardcore folk music people were the target audience, in that sense they absolutely nailed it. If you were expecting feel good commercial sounds then you chose the wrong album. This whole cd was fire.

Quoting PanjabiSikha:
I like the album, but I have to say that still does not compare to Word is Born, Raw as Folk or Repazent. A lot of the sounds seemed to be recycled from previous albums. "Ik Teri Yaad" seems to be taking from an track on Raw as Folk. "Mittran Nah Peeni" sounds like a Kaos production regular reggae vibe. Overall, I expected more but the sounds don't seem to be evolving. The AS Kang "Gidhian Di Rani" dholki sample is over used every where as well. Also, the idea of trying to copy Kuldip Manak is emphasized throughout the album. Ashok Prince is a great artist without the need to be massaged into a Manak-ist.

for your info thats how ashok prince sounds its all natural i think its a gud album had it on repeat

Liking the tracks except for the slow two which are:

Ik Teri Yaad (The Slow Joint)

and

Chitthi (The [censored] Letter).

JK's second album to officially release in February 2017. As confirmed by Tru-Skool on the BBC Asian Network with Bobby Friction.

JK single droppin' August 29th 2016.

Honestly with all the hype. It's disappointing to see there was no quality like his other tracks produced. 100% flop. Sounded average. His other albums have been too good.

On some tracks the vocals didn't go with the tune.

Better luck next time

I can listen to the album, but I don't feel it's cutting edge to the next level which would want me to keep on listening to it over and over again. Another thing that's missing apart from all the instruments is the emphasis of true melodies. I feel that the instruments are all on point but melodies are somewhat missing. This is my honest review and opinion, however they get 5 stars for all the hard work put forward.
