Bio Just for you to know I did my first TV Show at the age of 7, and wrote plenty of articles for the School Magazine. While I was still studying in school I made a debut in the media entertainment columns by taking an interview of Shah Rukh Khan followed by writing articles for The Delhi Times. I had an opportunity of meeting a lot of models and actors and I am lucky for I still get to meet people from the same fraternity. In Britian we are blessed by a lot of talented Asians and its about time we acknowledged and appreciated their contribution, hence the CAT TALK for you. I will purrrrr and show my teeth and I bet the artists will speak and get involved in CAT TALK. Sonia Dutta met Surjit Kumar in a posh restaurant over dinner and found out some interesting facts about him. She is convinced that he is not only smart and sexy….ohhhhhhhhhh but he is also very hot!! This new talent has been growing and flourishing in Birmingham and he is ready to spread his wings and his charm.
 While relishing hot biryani Surjit finally gave in to my cat like charm (Thank God) and cracked the conversation with a gorgeous smile and a brief introduction about him. It was a delight to meet a pleasant actor like him who has done various projects from Theatre and TV and got his first break when he got selected for a UK Musical Talent show which was sponsored by BBC in 2004. This proved to be a good platform for him to get noticed and his first TV break came through with the assistance of Pakistani director Yasir Akhtar. This project was an Urdu Soap set in Yorkshire and Pakistan called Sard Aag This soap had 30 episodes which were aired in Pakistan and other parts of Asia. Luck was on his side and soon after this project he was hired to show his talent for a project called - “Inspiration shines through” which was a DVD film production directed by MediaCove for Barnados Charity showcasing pregnancy problems amongst teenagers. In 2007 he was part of a Theatre production called Bhagat Singh and his most recent project has been a Punjabi TV Soap/Movie called Samundar Paar directed by Dev Diwana. He has been acting for sometime now, and with no background or family member ever involved in acting he has made his own way to the media industry. As they say where there is a will there is a way. Moral of the story is you should dream but you should also dream to make your dreams come true. Sarjit Kumar is a classic example of someone who has the will and the ways to make it bigger and better by making his dreams come true. We decided to leave the restaurant and he promised me a VIP seat during the launch of his next venture.
