I mean fair enough hes classically trained. but think carefully where has this classical shit come from? it was born outta normal singing, outa folk music. thre are different kinds of folk singing in India. Punjabi folk is one of them. For standard UK style bhangra, classical shit aint really a big deal. I mean look at the old skool bands, u listen back and u think wtf, is that how shit they were?. and im not talkin bout Malkit Singh, Heera, Alaap, Apna Sangeet. other than that rest seemed to be shit. And when u have classical training, u also learn about extending ur breath and holding notes. this guy runs out mate. i also saw on the live session, and cummon the guys sittin on the floor. he can even hold his notes, he eats the words up. not very clear. secondly its nice to know that Bhangra in the UK began from Birmingham. BUT, it doesnt mean that every artistfrom there is a genius. Jassi Sidhus punjabi is shit, Mehsopurias punjabi was brilliant but hes singin n voice is shit. There are many ppl in Bham (UK born) whos punjabi is shit. Its the pronounciation as well. thres not point doing classical if ur language is fucked up. take a look at Raghav. He is classically learnt and sings in both Hindi and English.
