What's interesting is that young south asians seem to have taken up the challenge of more edgy indo-fused political hip hop and r&b, hence the reason of more of that trend. Its more to do with the way they do things! Smaller artists are unable to market their products as they ask for £1000 (so I hear) to air play their videos. So comes the mainstream urban stuff to fill gaps maybe? Ok it has played a big role in getting the bhangra videos on air when other channels did not to, but their objectives have surely changed.
