![]() BOLLYWOOD ‘OSCARS’ COME TO BRITAIN
The IIFA awards, Bollywood’s answer to the Oscars, are returning to Britain for the first time since 2000, bringing the best of Bollywood glitz and glamour to Yorkshire and the north. British stars attending alongside Bollywood ‘royalty’ include Sienna Miller, Keira Knightley, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Monty Panesar and Kate Winslet. Bollywood stars will include Shilpa Shetty, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai. Ikonz, the UK’s premier Brit-Asian magazine is an official media partner of the IIFA’s and will be present throughout the ceremony and three-day event. Ikonz, based in Birmingham, has come a long way since only launching nationally in February 2007. Editor Reena Combo, 25, from Wolverhampton, was the brains behind the magazine and in the short time it’s graced the high street, the magazine has already bagged interviews with stars including Halle Berry, Jessica Alba and Shilpa Shetty alongside Bollywood luminaries.
