The second song entitled 'Jhumke' from the Punjabi movie 'Sargi' has been released!
The romantic song 'Fer Ohi Hoyea' by Jassie Gill was the first song released from the film, which also received a great response!
'Fer Ohi Hoyea' is not a dancefloor bhangra track, however the song is well written by Jaani that you can imagine the romantic scenes by just listening to the lyrics. However 'Jhumke' is completely opposite and as you will be able to see from the video is it a very lively and energetic track!
Rupinder had the opportunity to catch up with Jassie Gill and ask a him about the song 'Jhumke' and his forthcoming film 'Sargi.'
What inspired you to do the song Jhumke?
It was the situation of the movie. But when the song was made, we knew it was gonna rock.
How long have you been working on it?
It takes a lot of time and effort to make a song. It took around 2 months to complete the song.
What was your best part when shooting for the song?
The best part was when everyone was so energetic whilst shooting for the song, right from the dancers, crew and choreographer. We had a lot of fun.
How does it feel to be in a film alongside Babbal Rai and Rubina Bajwa?
Babbal is my brother. We have been doing shows together for some time now. Its always fun working with him and Rubina is a very good actress. It was amazing working with them.
What made you want to be part of the film Sargi?
The concept. When i heard about it i took a call immedietely and wanted to be a part of the movie.
What is your character?
Well my character is a guy who loves a girl right from the beginning but he is shy and not able to express his feelings to her.
What was your most memorable part in the film?
Well the complete movie shoot was memorable. I cannot pick a certain part.
What do you have coming next?
I will be coming with a romantic album soon.
