What do you think, has our sense of religion and how we identity it shifted with the way the society has changed? Or, because of our relatively lack of non-religious community spaces and moving away from the traditional way of doing things as per our parents, we are discussing topics like this?
Many of us have moved away from the way we are supposed to do things as per the ‘right way’ of doing them, and if two big ‘Bhangra’ artists, whom many look up to can bring us to listen and maybe bring us back to ‘right way’ than everyone should do one.

sat sri akal - look people we are celebrating Sikhi - and these tow dudes think they are some sort of Gangsters!! what in Guru's name are we doing - Sikhi is about peace, happiness and these two dudes nee dto step away from their Bhangra videos and smile !!!!

Fully agree to this, we should not be mixing the two, would we like to see the gianiji doing bhangra?

We should have something from these artists why they would want to do one?

Whats wrong with you all? Are you forgettin all the oldskool religeous songs that people still listen to and look up to? u learn alot. If many are misguided, atleast these can re-connect the sikh jagat back to sikhi.

Bhangra: its original meaning comes from the folk dance which was performed at vaisakhi. Now its music. But Gurbani does not deny music as gurbani is sung aswell as read. This is dharmik songs (religeous) and not shabads. But used Gurbani elements to promote Sikhi.

a brilliant way to set an example. the aim of the game here is to get the picture out to kids, elders and youngsters of what our roots are and where we come from. i truly think its a great effort made by the two artists. if these guys were takin the piss then its a different story. but they are trying to promote our thoughts and feelings of sikhi in other ways apart from kids sitting in the gurdwara thinking its a choir and not understanding what is being said in the gurdwara's.

keep it up guys!

I don't know what's been going on back here but I know one thing for sure. Every time some artist starts to throw out a religious album, someone ALWAYS has something to say something bad about it. Forget the picture... forget the promotion. Those are not the parts that should be looked at. It's about the songs. It's about the soul of the song. It's about the deep meaning of these songs. These two bhangra artists from the UK have created this CD with passion and love. We all should respect their creation and appreciate what they're doing to spread Sikh culture.

Fighting will only lead to more fighting.
